8 im sure you can get protection for it. and its just like anything. if you drop a laptop/iphone/touch then it will break.
It’s not even a big iPhone as you can’t make calls with it. It’s just a big iPod touch.

iPad Cons (The Bad)
No protection. If you drop it, the screen can crack, get scratched, put it in a nonworking state.
1) Too big
2) Very similar to the iPhone/touch
3) People can see what your doing on the iPad in public
4) Predators will want to steel it
5) Majority of the people want to carry smaller and more portable device, not big pieces of cardboard in their hands
7) Price is too high, just buy a netbook or laptop for less and have even more features/capabilities.

I want one. I can’t believe it’s only $500. I know there is a lot of stuff that was left out in creating this. I have an iPhone and a laptop. Watching movies on the iPhone is cool but the screen and resolution is quite small. My laptop is heavy and 1.5lbs sounds nice. It’s so cheap I can’t resist!

Amazing tablet. Apple is the most amazing company at making electronics in the world. If I’d give the ipad a rating from 0 to 10 I’d give it an 11.

They just get some guy with an interesting voice to talk about their product. The Ipad is truly just an ipod touch with a bigger screen. This is the kind of product that you buy and the novelty wears off when you realize you wasted your money on this.
No HDMI, no blueray player, no flash, no revolutionary apps like touch screen drawing. The dropped the ball on this.
It’s all about getting the public to buy- buy- buy. For years Americans were told they were not saving enough. Now that they started saving we are told we need to buy-buy-buy! I am not about to line the pockets of those from any company with monies on a pretense of the latest and greatest. You won’t see me wasting my money on this product.
