In this video I use a powered USB Hub (Griffin Simplifi Dock) to re-test equipment connected to the iPad via the USB adapter from the Camera Connection Kit.

@MissRiot0721 its only for ipad and a webcam wont work but u can import photos from a camera so wats the differance
@cart2334 It’s a Griffin Simplifi, I’m actually not a big fan of it
.
@ilovemacintosh100 Thanks, it’s Calvin Klein I believe.
@accountforvedios This was in FAT32, but the software on the stick prevented it from operating in mass storage mode so I had to wipe that first. I later did a video on that.
I was able to hook my Flip to the iPad, with a Powered USB HUB and then import Video from it, along with using USB Stick. I have not tried a Hard Drive yet.
i like that usb hub.
i like ur sweater
Format USB flash stick as FAT32 to make it work with iPad!
@MissRiot0721 No, you can’t import photos to the iPod touch with the adapter. Yes, I’ve tried a web with no success. I have some videos on my channel demonstrating how this works with other devices.
Will the camera connector kit work with iPod touch? Have you try plugging a webcam to the ipad?
@Simonhp Thanks!
great videos all the time keep up the good work
@DamnedBoyShady Yes, nobody has been able to get it to work without jailbreaking the iPad and some other more advanced techniques.
have you ever tried formating the hdd? (fat)
@punkysuen Great question! I had to test this out, and I’m sad to say forward delete doesn’t work! instead of forward deleting, it back delete.
Can u use the delete forward function by the wired keyboard?
Lol alright, you should have said that in the title or the beginning or something! I went through the whole video waiting for you to be like…..”BUT (Insert something USB and really cool) works like a charm!”
@djkstyless That is the point I’m trying to make, that these things don’t work.
DOES ANYTHING YOU DO ACTUALLY FUCKING WORK?
Why are you making videos of stupid shit that doesnt work?
@DetroitBORG its the 3rd gen 8gb and the headphones dont work because they’re to big to fit in the jack along with most of my headphones. i guess because theyre too old
@p154831 There are many services out there that will replace the iPod touch battery much more cheaply than Apple. I can’t recommend one, but you may want to search online for a reputable one. I know a local shop actually specializes in replacing iPod/Iphone batteries. What gen is the iPod Touch? And why won’t the headphones work with the iPod Touch?
@DetroitBORG i guess so but i mean at least one port? im kinda pissed with my ipod touch because if the battery life continues to decrease and decreaase soon it will be useless and you cant’t just pop open the back and get a new battery you have to go to the applestore and get it replaced for a huge fee. also most of my quality headphones dont fit in the ipods jack.
@p154831 I have to say I really have no use for those connectors on the iPad largely because the iPad iOS can’t do enough with them. I’m surprised Apple put these adapters out at all. If the iPad had a built-in SD card slot, then I think it would be more useful in the field (I’m not carrying these adatpers or USB cables around with me).
steve jobs is an idiot why wouldnt he spend the extra few bucks to make 2 or 3 usb ports built into the ipad
@JerichoRock Yes, although only if the iPad screen is off.
