I don’t need to hold one to know that’s useless to mr. Pirillo. I want a computer, not a device based on a phone. I also like to be able to run all the common Mac applications that Ive paid for and that I’m used to! I work with Office for over 20 years or so, I want Office on that thing and not some limited applications that also work differently or having to deal with compatibility issues/
@HarryJohnTurner95 well actually a camera can go in front for making video calls not only for capturing a moment of you but i bet that the next gen of ipad is gonna have one but… im still not buying it for many reasons other than a camera
if your not a die hard apple fan and you can wait maybe like until half a year or so then just take a little look at the hp slate
i actually held one in my hands like 3 days ago it BELONGED and i say belonged because he sold it it was just a big ipod,no flash,no camera and its just not what you would expect from a product of that kind
now we looked at the hp slate and that is what we want that has all that should have been in the ipad but is not and im talking about FULL WINDOWS 7 (which is what you would really expect from a product of that kind),a camera,flash and anything else you would want to replace a laptop with

1GigaHertz Processor
Compare these specs to a NetBook/NoteBook/LapTop.
Suggested: Emulate or Virtualize option iPod/iPhone on MacOSx
@BigMacIIx My dream is this… that developers will provide touch screen friendly applications written from the ground up, if needed. The back end code would not need to be changed, and a different user interface can easily be added. It is absolutely possible to write programs to look just like iPad apps if so desired, or any other interface. There is a huge community of developers already skilled in Windows application development. Don’t think of Windows as a static environment.

I’m not 100% sold, so i decided to wait for the second generation. Hopefully! Comes with a built in camera crossing my fingers. Should be out next year too.
I wuld buy it if they put a isight and a CD drive than im sold

In your dream, Tablet based on windows has failed since the 90.
if you have ever used a creative app like brushes on the iphone or beat-maker you’ll realise that its just the start , with the ipad with its larger screen imagine how much detail you could go in to on brushes when drawing ,or beat maker your ipad could turn in to real drum machine you could use this thing on gigs , they just need to bring out a version of logic for it and i’m sold

I am going to wait and see if they do put a camera on it or not. As with all apple products, the second, third and so on generations are always better than the first generation. So if I do get one, it will not be a first generation device.

At first it did surprise me there wasn’t a camera, but then again, I already have a digital camera, and have a camera on my phone, so I’m not the iPad would be used to take pics, perhaps for iChat. Don’t think its meant to replace a desktop or laptop, its its own device, just hate having to pay for 3 internet services, mobile, home and now the iPad.
