I don’t see it’s value. If I am looking for computing on the go I want to be able to do things like word processing, for example. I want to be able to plug devices into my computer. I want to be able to listen to my music while i surf the web. The fact that I can do all of this for half the money elsewhere makes the iPad a joke.
Even if the screen quality is good, which you didn’t even prove that it was better than any other, i still fail to see how this constitutes anything other than iRobbery. And who cares about the viewing angle? The user isn’t going to look at his computer from a 45 degree angle anyway and this thing is way too small for multiple people to be looking on.
@William1424 no, you didnt read, its not just that its touchscreen, but an IPS(badass colors and view angle) touchscreen that is LED backlit(even better colors and contrast), and the 64 GB cost nearly 300$ alone because its Solid state.
I agree though, its not something I would buy yet, but I hope as many people as possible get iRaped because I want cheaper IPS LED screens and solid states.

You would probably have to buy some kind of application that changes the flash setting to allow it to play.
The price is high because it’s apple and they can get away with it. Sure, it’s touch screen. That’s really the only thing it has that a regular comp doesn’t have. Now if you even consider touch screen better (which I don’t), is it really worth double the money given that you are giving up dozens of other important features that all laptops have? Even if you want a decent size hard drive of 64 GB you have to fork out $800. This is what we call iRape.

Fundamentally very pretty, but almost completely useless. Why no USB ports? My netbook is hugely more useful. Sure, the screen isn’t as nice. Sure, the Pad is better built. It had better be for the price, frankly. I really don’t care. I can use my netbook as a small computer. I’m doing this right now as my main pc isn’t working. The iPad can’t do that. And it has to be so much more difficult to type on than a netbook, when sat down…
This is definetly a product. Apple made this. People are gonna use it. Some will like it. Others may not. Someone will leave useless negative feedback bc their daddy hated them. Others will leave happy words bc their daddy was supportive of their opinions and beliefs. Humans are funny and simple.

@William1424 The large price is because of its SSD and LED IPS touchscreen. It almost is worth it but your right, not enough storage space for me, yet. A 2nd generation ipad would definitely be worth it though. You should still be rooting for something like this to take off so mainstream LED IPS screens and SSDs drop in price.(which you probably want in all computers)
